A man in his 40s was hospitalized with a head injury after being assaulted early on Monday morning, June 16, in Cheltenham. The attack occurred around 12:25 a.m. at the busy intersection of High Street, Promenade, and North Street, near local landmarks Boots and Clarks—commonly known as Boots Corner.
According to Gloucestershire Police, the victim was attacked by two men, suffering a laceration to his head. He received immediate assistance from both officers and members of the public before being transported to hospital. The man has since been discharged.
A man in his 20s from Cheltenham was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. Police continue to search for a second suspect believed to be involved. Authorities say the individuals are known to one another.
