Man Seriously Injured in Early Morning Stabbing at Cheltenham Car Park

A man in his 20s was seriously injured in a stabbing incident that occurred in a car park off Rodney Road, Cheltenham, shortly after 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 16.

According to Gloucestershire Police, the altercation began when the victim, who was standing with a group on Regent Street, was approached by another man—some members of the group were known to the suspect. The suspect reportedly chased one individual from the group into the nearby car park, where he stabbed the victim three times in the back.

Emergency services rushed the man to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Following the attack, police conducted a search of the surrounding area and apprehended a 22-year-old man from Cheltenham. The suspect is currently in police custody and is being held on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent.
