A man has sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision at a known accident blackspot in the Cotswolds. The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 23, at approximately 8:10 pm.
The crash involved a blue Peugeot Rifter van and a silver Volkswagen Golf at the junction of Spratsgate Lane and Ewen Road near Shorncote, just outside Cirencester.
The van driver, a man in his 40s, was rushed to Southmead Hospital where he remains in serious condition. Two other individuals were taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital as a precautionary measure.

Emergency services responded swiftly, implementing several road closures while attending the scene. The roads fully reopened late last night.
Authorities are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward. Individuals with information are encouraged to contact the police by completing the online form and quoting incident number 503 from June 23.
