Man Seriously Injured After Car Falls on Him While Working

A man is currently in critical condition after a car he was working on fell onto him in Dursley. The incident occurred around midday on Friday, July 25, in the Woodmancote area near Stroud.

Paramedics and police were quickly dispatched following the emergency call. The man was urgently transported by land ambulance to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where he is receiving treatment for life-threatening injuries.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) stated, “We were called at 11:55 AM on July 25 to an incident in Dursley. Our response included a responding officer, a hazardous area response team, a double-crewed land ambulance, and an air ambulance. The patient was conveyed by land ambulance to Southmead Hospital.”

Gloucestershire Police also confirmed their involvement. A police spokeswoman said, “We received a report shortly after midday that a man had sustained serious injuries after a car he was working underneath fell on him in the Woodmancote area. Our officers are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

The investigation remains ongoing as emergency teams continue to support the victim and work to determine the cause of this serious accident.
