Man Seriously Assaulted in Gloucester City Centre; Suspect Remains at Large

A man in his 30s is currently hospitalized after being seriously assaulted in Gloucester city centre earlier this week. The incident took place on Hampden Road on the evening of Tuesday, May 27.

Gloucestershire Police responded to reports of the assault around 6:30 PM. The victim was transported to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with facial injuries, where he remains under medical care as of Thursday, May 29.

No arrests have been made so far, and police maintain a scene guard at Hampden Road as investigations continue. Authorities are urgently appealing to the public for any information that could assist in identifying and apprehending the attacker.

A police spokesperson stated, “We were called to Hampden Road in Gloucester shortly after 6:30 PM on Tuesday, May 27, following a report of an assault. The man, aged in his 30s, is still receiving treatment for facial injuries. Enquiries are ongoing, and officers are asking anyone with relevant information to come forward.”
