Man Sentenced to Over Three Years for Trafficking Extreme Right-Wing Music

Norbert Gyurcsik, a 48-year-old resident of Kestrel Road, Hereford, has been sentenced to more than three years in prison for possessing and distributing extreme right-wing music that violates terrorism laws and promotes racial hatred.

Gyurcsik was arrested in May last year following investigations into his involvement in the sale and purchase of albums containing incendiary and hate-filled lyrics. A police raid on his home uncovered a collection of over 2,000 records, which he was trading across the UK and Europe.

He pleaded guilty on October 3 at Worcester Crown Court to three charges: one of distributing recordings and two of possessing recordings that breach terrorism legislation. On November 27, he received a sentence of 40 months for each charge, to be served concurrently.

The West Midlands Police Counter Terrorism Unit led the investigation, emphasizing the importance of public vigilance in combating terrorism. Authorities encourage individuals to report any suspicious activity or content in confidence to help prevent potential threats.

The police reminded the public, “If you see or hear something that doesn’t seem right, trust your instincts and ACT by reporting to police in confidence.” In emergencies, citizens should always call 999.
