Man ‘nearly burned alive’ in Egypt after shock

Electric shock incident in Egyptian hotel room leaves vacationer with severe injuries}

A vacationer, Steve Ellis, experienced a terrifying electric shock incident while staying at the Coral Sea Imperial Sensatori hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. After touching the bedside lamp, Steve was thrown to the floor as an electric shock surged through his body, traveling into his fillings and causing severe burns to his mouth.

Steve’s hands became stuck to the lamp, and he had to shout for help as he struggled with the shock. Despite seeking assistance from the hotel’s doctor and holiday rep, he was left disappointed by the hotel’s response to the incident.

He later discovered wires sticking out of the lamp, indicating a dangerous electrical hazard. Steve sustained a ring-shaped burn around his mouth and has been experiencing constant burning and tingling in his hands, making it difficult for him to work as a kitchen fitter.
