Man Knocked Unconscious and Another Glassed in Cirencester Pub Brawl

A violent altercation at the Golden Farm Inn in Cirencester left one man unconscious and another injured after being struck with a glass.

Gloucestershire Police responded to reports of a fight involving multiple individuals at the pub on Upper Churnside around 8:30 pm on Wednesday, July 1, shortly after England secured a 2-1 victory against DR Congo in the World Cup.

According to reports, one man was knocked unconscious during the scuffle, and a woman hit another man over the head with a glass, causing cuts that required hospital treatment.

Officers arrived promptly and arrested a 30-year-old local woman on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. She was later released on conditional bail as investigations continue.

Police have reviewed CCTV footage from the scene and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant mobile phone recordings to come forward. Numerous potential witnesses were in the area at the time and may hold key information.
