A man was rushed to hospital early Sunday morning after a single-vehicle crash on the M5 motorway in Gloucestershire. The incident occurred just before 5 a.m. between junction 13 (Stroud) and junction 14 (Falfield).
Gloucestershire Police responded quickly to reports that a vehicle had left the carriageway. The northbound side of the motorway was closed, and diversions were put in place as emergency services assessed the situation.
A police spokesperson confirmed, “Police were called just before 5 a.m. on Sunday, November 23, regarding a single-vehicle collision on the M5 northbound. Closures were implemented while paramedics attended to the occupants and the vehicle was recovered.”

The injured man was transported to Southmead Hospital in Bristol. Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
National Highways South West later announced the reopening of the M5 northbound between junctions 13 and 14, lifting the earlier road closures.
