Man Hospitalised Following Altercation on Gloucester Bus

A man sustained a facial injury and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital after an altercation occurred between two men on a bus in Gloucester.

The incident took place on Station Road at approximately 12:10pm on Monday, 3 August. Gloucestershire Police responded promptly to reports of a disturbance involving the two individuals.

A police spokesperson confirmed that the injury to the man’s face was not believed to have been inflicted by a knife. Witnesses at the scene noted a significant emergency services presence during the event.

Following the incident, a 47-year-old man from Cheltenham was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated assault, while a 30-year-old man, also from Cheltenham, was taken into custody on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Both men have since been released on bail as investigations continue.
