Man Found Unconscious in Gloucester City Centre Following Pub Altercation

A man in his 50s was attacked and left unconscious in Gloucester city centre near the Cross Keys pub on Southgate Street late Saturday evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:15 pm on February 21, when police responded to reports of an altercation. Upon arrival, officers discovered the man unconscious at the scene. He received immediate treatment before being transported to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Earlier that evening, two men were seen arguing with the victim inside the Cross Keys pub. After the victim left the premises, the two individuals allegedly followed him. One of them then punched the man, causing him to collapse.

Despite a thorough search of the area and door-to-door enquiries, the suspects fled the scene and have yet to be located. Police have reviewed CCTV footage and interviewed witnesses as part of the ongoing investigation.

The prime suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, with short spiky cropped hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
