A man in his 50s was found unconscious on Southgate Street near the Cross Keys pub in Gloucester city centre following an assault on the night of Saturday, February 21.
The incident occurred around 11:15 pm after reports of a heated argument between the victim and two other men inside the pub. After leaving the premises, the victim was allegedly followed by the two men. One of them struck the victim, causing him to fall unconscious.
Gloucestershire Police responded to the call of an altercation and discovered the victim at the scene. He received immediate medical attention before being transported to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

The suspects fled before police arrived. Despite extensive searches and house-to-house enquiries, they have not yet been apprehended. Authorities reviewed CCTV footage and interviewed witnesses in their ongoing investigation.
The primary suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5ft 11in tall, with short, spiky cropped hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
