Man Found Seriously Injured Near Gloucester Primark in Suspected Assault

A man in his 40s was discovered unconscious on Eastgate Street in Gloucester city centre, sustaining severe injuries consistent with an assault. The incident occurred early on Thursday, 22 January, between The Cross and Primark at approximately 3:30 a.m.

Emergency services rushed the victim to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, where he is being treated for a brain bleed, a fractured skull, and a fractured jaw. Despite extensive medical care, the man is currently unable to remember what happened during the incident.

Gloucestershire Police have reviewed CCTV footage and interviewed several people in the town centre as part of their ongoing investigation. Authorities are now appealing to the public for any additional information that could shed light on the circumstances surrounding the attack.
