Man Dies in Late-Night Single-Vehicle Crash on Cotswolds Road

A tragic late-night crash on the B4425 between Aldsworth and Burford in the Cotswolds has claimed the life of a young man. Emergency services responded to the incident at around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, discovering a Mercedes-Benz SLK that had veered off the road.

Gloucestershire Police confirmed that the driver, a man in his 20s from West Oxfordshire, died at the scene despite the efforts of emergency personnel. A second occupant, a 19-year-old man, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by paramedics to John Radcliffe Hospital, where he remains under treatment as of Wednesday, November 26.

The B4425 was temporarily closed to allow for a thorough collision investigation, reopening by 11 a.m. the next day once the vehicle was removed. Police are currently appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or was driving along the road between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. to come forward. They are particularly interested in dashcam footage that may assist with the investigation.
