A man has tragically died after sustaining severe injuries in a collision involving a lorry and a car on the B4040 near Malmesbury, Wiltshire.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon when emergency services were called to the scene of a crash between a Toyota Yaris and a heavy goods vehicle (HGV). The collision happened at the junction between the B4040 and an unnamed road towards Chelworth.
The passenger in the Toyota Yaris, a 61-year-old man, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Despite medical efforts, he later passed away. Authorities have informed his next of kin and have extended their condolences.

The driver of the Yaris, a 60-year-old woman, also sustained injuries but they are not believed to be life-threatening. The lorry driver stayed at the scene following the collision. No arrests have been made, and police investigations remain ongoing.
