Man Diagnosed with ADHD Later in Life Now Empowers Children Through Nature

After receiving an ADHD diagnosis as an adult, John Stevens discovered a new purpose: helping children transform their lives through nature. Drawing on his own experiences, John now supports young people—particularly those who have been excluded from traditional schools or are home educated—to build confidence, develop social skills, and reconnect with the natural world.

John believes that nature provides a unique environment where children with diverse learning needs can thrive. His programs include outdoor activities, nature walks, and hands-on projects designed to engage children in ways traditional classrooms often cannot. By fostering a sense of belonging and accomplishment, John helps these young individuals overcome challenges and unlock their true potential.

Reflecting on his journey, John says, “Being diagnosed with ADHD later in life gave me the insight and tools I needed. Now, I’m passionate about sharing that knowledge with children who might be struggling, showing them that a different path—a path through nature—can lead to growth and success.”
