A man in his 20s remains in critical condition at Southmead Hospital following a serious assault on a Cirencester housing estate last night.
Gloucestershire Police responded to a call reporting a violent altercation on Reeves Close at approximately 6:20 pm on Thursday, June 18. Authorities said the incident involved two men who are believed to know each other. The men reportedly argued before one attacked the other, knocking him to the ground and continuing the assault.
The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival but was later apprehended. Officers conducted house-to-house inquiries and continue to secure the area on the outskirts of the Cotswolds market town.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody as investigations proceed.
