Man Charged Following Dangerous Driving Incident on M5

Gloucestershire Police have charged a man after a police pursuit along the M5 motorway yesterday, Thursday 27 August. Officers attempted to stop a vehicle travelling at high speed and driving dangerously on the southbound carriageway.

The pursuit occurred between junction 11 and Gloucester Services, where the driver was finally detained. Callum McLuckie, aged 41, from Pailton Road in Solihull, faces multiple charges related to the incident.

McLuckie has been granted bail and is due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 13 October.

Police are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area between junction 11 and Gloucester Services on the southbound side around 12.45pm and who may have captured dashcam footage to come forward. Such information could assist ongoing investigations.
