An 18-year-old man has been formally named and charged after a dramatic police chase in Gloucester last month. Gloucestershire Police were alerted around midday on Thursday, June 25, about a red Volkswagen Golf suspected to be stolen in the Hucclecote area.
Officers located the vehicle in the car park of the Wagon & Horses pub on Hucclecote Road. When police attempted to block the car, the driver rammed their way through, prompting a short pursuit. The chase continued onto Church Lane in Barnwood, where the vehicle stopped, and the driver fled on foot. Despite a foot chase, officers lost sight of the suspect.
Following ongoing investigations, the suspect was identified as Harrison Wood from Redditch and was located one week later. Wood was subsequently arrested and charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, handling stolen goods, and being involved in the supply of Class A drugs.
