Police in Gloucestershire have charged a man following reports of an aggressive incident involving a machete in Gloucester. On Sunday, 23 August, officers received calls about a man seen in the Coney Hill area carrying a machete and threatening individuals in the vicinity.
Andrew Doherty, 21, from Cam, has been formally charged in connection with the incident. He made his first court appearance at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Monday, 24 August. Doherty was remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing scheduled for Wednesday, 23 September, at Gloucester Crown Court.
Authorities continue to investigate the case as the legal process progresses.
