Man Banned from Areas of Cheltenham After Targeting Elderly for Money

A 25-year-old man has been prohibited from entering certain parts of Cheltenham following allegations that he targeted elderly and vulnerable individuals to obtain money and valuables.

Jimmy Doran has been issued with an Anti-Social Behaviour Injunction (ASBI) by Gloucester and Cheltenham County Court on Thursday, 3 September, in response to multiple complaints received by Gloucestershire Police over several weeks.

Reports indicated that Doran befriended vulnerable members of the community before taking their possessions. In light of this behaviour, Cheltenham Solace, a multiagency team dedicated to tackling anti-social conduct, successfully applied for the injunction.

The ASBI restricts Doran from visiting specific addresses within Cheltenham and prohibits him from causing alarm, harassment, or distress to anyone in Gloucestershire. Additionally, he is barred from using or threatening violence against any person in the county.

Authorities urge the public to report any incidents involving Doran to Gloucestershire Police, either via their website or by calling 101.
