Gloucestershire Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery involving a child in Gloucester. On Tuesday, March 10, at approximately 4:25 pm, an unknown man wearing a black balaclava approached an 11-year-old girl on Stroud Road near St Barnabus Church.
The suspect, riding a silver-framed Surron e-bike with large black wheels, attempted to snatch the girl’s mobile phone. During the incident, the girl was knocked to the ground, sustaining bruises on her arms and legs. Her phone was damaged in the fall.
After the attempt, the man fled the scene without offering any assistance. He was dressed entirely in black, including a helmet, balaclava, and clothing.

Police have released an image of the e-bike involved, acknowledging the image is not very clear but hopeful that it may help identify the bike or its owner. Officers are urging anyone with information, or anyone who may have captured the incident on CCTV, dashcam, or mobile footage, to come forward.
Witnesses can report information online, referencing incident 415 of 10 March, via the Gloucestershire Police website.
