Man Assaults Railway Staff During Ticket Dispute at Gloucester Station

On Sunday, October 26, a man assaulted railway staff at Gloucester railway station during a dispute over his ticket. The incident occurred just before 11 a.m. when the individual attempted to travel using a child’s ticket and was stopped at the station gate.

During the confrontation, the man punched a staff member in the face and forcefully took a body-worn camera from another employee who was recording the event. After the assault, he fled the station.

British Transport Police have released an image of the suspect and are urging anyone who recognizes him or has information related to the incident to come forward. Witnesses are asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, referencing case number 206 of October 26. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be submitted to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
