A man has been arrested and charged with drug-related offences just over a mile from King Charles III’s private home in Tetbury. The incident unfolded on the morning of Wednesday, 2 September, when Cirencester’s Neighbourhood Police and Neighbourhood Support Teams received reports from local residents about a possible drug deal involving a suspicious vehicle.
Responding promptly to the calls, officers quickly located the vehicle in a nearby industrial estate. Upon stopping the car, the driver was detained and a search revealed a significant quantity of cannabis and cocaine, along with a large sum of cash. Further investigation found that the man was driving without both a valid licence and insurance.
The vehicle was seized, and the individual was arrested and interviewed by police. He has since been charged with drug supply offences and multiple driving violations. The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, 3 September.

The operation took place approximately one mile from ‘Highgrove House’, the private country residence of King Charles and the Queen Consort, Camilla.
Cirencester Neighbourhood Police Team highlighted that the successful outcome was a direct result of effective collaboration with the local community, emphasising the importance of residents reporting their concerns to law enforcement.
