On Monday afternoon, June 2, a significant police presence was reported in the Quedgeley area of Gloucester following an assault incident. Witnesses observed around ten police vehicles converging near the southern part of the city.
Gloucestershire Police confirmed they were called to an address in Quedgeley at 12:50 pm regarding a man exhibiting aggressive behavior and making threats to harm himself and others. Officers located a man in his 50s inside the property and arrested him on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm after it was reported he had assaulted another individual.
The suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue. Authorities assured the public that the situation was contained within the premises and posed no threat to the wider community.
