A man was arrested after reportedly making inappropriate and sexualised remarks towards two teenage girls at Gloucester Transport Hub. The incident took place at approximately 5.10pm on Tuesday, 8 September.
According to Gloucestershire Police, the man was seen standing in the doorway of the public toilets before approaching the teenagers and making comments described as “inappropriate and sexual in nature.” The girls were left shaken and promptly contacted the authorities.
Following enquiries, including a review of CCTV footage, a 36-year-old Gloucester resident was arrested on suspicion of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words with the intent to cause harassment, alarm, or distress. This is categorised as a public order offence, often motivated by the victim’s sex or presumed sex.

The suspect has since been released on bail with conditions that include a ban on entering Gloucester Transport Hub while investigations continue.
