A 23-year-old man, Kyrece Hall, has pled guilty to multiple assault charges and criminal damage after a violent incident in Nailsworth town centre on June 6. Hall, who is of no fixed address, faces sentencing on June 30 at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court.
Following the incident, Hall was remanded in custody. During the court hearing on June 9, he admitted to three counts of assault by beating, one count of common assault, one count of criminal damage, and one count of assaulting an emergency worker.
Gloucestershire Police confirmed the charges and emphasized their commitment to community safety. A spokeswoman stated, “Kyrece Hall pleaded guilty to three charges of assault by beating, one charge of common assault, one of criminal damage, and one charge of assaulting an emergency worker. Sentencing is scheduled for June 30 at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court.”

The incident, which involved the assault of multiple members of the public, including a police officer, also resulted in a shop window being smashed on Old Market Street at around 4:30 pm. The event was detailed on the Your Community Alerts Gloucestershire website, highlighting that four counts of common assault and criminal damage were part of the charges.
Stroud Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Simon Ellson spoke about the police response, stating, “We are dedicated to ensuring Nailsworth remains a safe and enjoyable place to live and work and will take decisive action against those who threaten that.” Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team have increased patrols to reassure residents and will continue community engagement throughout the town.
