Four individuals were injured in a collision involving a car and a lorry near Chelworth Crossroads on the B4040, close to Cricklade, Wiltshire, on Monday, February 23, at approximately 4:20 pm.
Emergency services responded promptly to the scene. Wiltshire Police confirmed that a 61-year-old man sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for urgent care. A 60-year-old woman, who was traveling in the same vehicle, also sustained injuries, though these are not believed to be serious. Two other victims were taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon for treatment.
The South Western Ambulance Service deployed two critical care cars, two ambulance tactical commanders, and four double-crewed ambulances to assist. Additionally, the Midlands Air Ambulance attended the incident.

Authorities conducted a forensic investigation at the crash site, which resulted in road closures until around 7:30 am the following day.
Wiltshire Police provided an update stating that the lorry driver remained at the scene, and no arrests have been made. They also confirmed that the next of kin of the seriously injured man have been informed, expressing their condolences.
