Man, 36, Dies After Crash Near Mickleton in the Cotswolds

A 36-year-old man from the Stratford area has tragically died following a road traffic collision in the Cotswolds.

Emergency services were alerted to the serious incident early this morning, Saturday 5 September, at approximately 7.30am. The crash occurred on Bakers Hill, the stretch of road between Mickleton and Hidcote.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary confirmed that the man was pronounced dead at the scene after the Ford C-Max he was driving left the road and struck a tree.

His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.

The road remains closed as collision investigators continue to examine the scene to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have relevant dashcam footage to come forward and assist with their enquiries.
