Police carried out a successful raid on a property in Ewyas Harold, Herefordshire, on December 30, uncovering a significant cache of illegal substances including magic mushrooms and cannabis products. Acting on intelligence related to drug manufacturing, Hereford CID executed a warrant that led to the discovery of a concealed area dedicated to producing suspected magic mushrooms, along with cannabis and cannabis edibles.
The operation resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of cannabis, cannabis hash, magic mushrooms, and a sum of cash believed to be linked to the drug activities. A 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of involvement in the production of controlled drugs. Shortly after, a 29-year-old man was detained at a separate address in Whitestone, Hereford, suspected of being involved in drug supply.
Both individuals have been released on bail as the investigation continues. Detective Constable Simon Caine of Hereford Proactive CID emphasized the impact of disrupting what appears to be a substantial drug operation affecting the local community, particularly targeting younger demographics.

“We arrested one man at the property and another at a separate address following the raid in relation to drug production and supply,” Detective Constable Caine said. “The quantities of illegal substances seized highlight the seriousness of the operation, and our work is far from over.”
