M5 Closure and Diversion Route Announced After Fatal Crash

A tragic crash on the M5 has resulted in the deaths of three people and serious injuries to a child, prompting a lengthy closure and diversion on the motorway. The accident occurred around 9pm on May 30, when a white BMW left the northbound carriageway between junction 14 (Falfield) and Michaelwood services.

The motorway is currently closed in both directions between junctions 14 and 13 (Stroud) as emergency services and investigators work at the scene. The victims include two adults in their 40s and a teenager who were all passengers in the vehicle. A child also sustained serious injuries and has been hospitalized.
