Luxury Hot Chocolate Brand Knoops Set to Open in Cheltenham

Chocolate enthusiasts have reason to celebrate as Knoops, a renowned luxury hot chocolate brand, prepares to open a new store in Cheltenham.

Established in 2013 in East Sussex, Knoops has grown steadily, bringing its gourmet chocolate drinks to over 25 locations across the UK, including cities like Bristol, Bath, Exeter, and Oxford. Now, the brand is expanding into Cheltenham, choosing the prominent address of 24 Promenade for its newest outlet.

This historic site, formerly home to The Dobbells pub and later Costa Coffee for 14 years until its closure in 2022, will soon welcome Knoops. Branding for the company appeared on the building towards the end of last year, though an official opening date has yet to be announced. Fans are encouraged to follow Knoops on social media for updates.

Knoops is known for its diverse menu, offering drinks made from more than 20 different cocoa percentages. Whether you prefer your chocolate hot, iced, or in the form of a milkshake, the Cheltenham store promises to satisfy all tastes. Unique ingredients like orange zest and sea salt allow customers to explore and personalize their chocolate experience.

The brand prides itself on ethical sourcing, working closely with cocoa farmers and chocolate makers. By supporting best practices, Knoops aims to benefit farmers and their communities while delivering expertly crafted, gourmet drinks to its customers.

The new Cheltenham location is housed in a Grade-II listed, 19th-century Regency-style building within the town’s Conservation Area. Thanks to its previous use as a café, the space will require minimal modifications before opening, and it will feature Knoops’ signature black shopfront design.

Knoops is not the only new addition to Cheltenham’s retail scene. Inside the Regent Arcade shopping centre, fashion brand Mango is preparing to launch soon, and an undisclosed new store is set to open behind scaffolding labeled “Something exciting coming soon.”

Regent Arcade already hosts a variety of popular fashion outlets and eateries, including TK Maxx, Ann Summers, H&M, Japanese restaurant Kibou, and the Tivoli cinema and bar, making it a bustling hub for shoppers and visitors alike.
