Singer and model Louise Redknapp has opened up about her evolving relationship with Drew Michael, revealing how she is focusing on “moving forward” both personally and romantically.
Louise first gained recognition as a member of the girl band Eternal, achieving chart success before embarking on a solo career. Her debut solo album, Naked, released in 1996, spawned several top-10 singles and marked the beginning of her sustained success in the music industry. After releasing another album in the early 2000s, Louise took a break in 2002 to dedicate time to her family following the birth of her first child, Charley.
Louise and former England footballer Jamie Redknapp, with whom she shares two children, announced their separation in 2017 after 19 years of marriage. Since then, Louise has found new love with Drew Michael, the CEO of an aerospace company, with their relationship becoming public in October 2023 after they reportedly began dating earlier that year.

In a recent interview with Woman & Home magazine, Louise expressed her excitement about releasing what she hopes will be the “best album” of her career. She also candidly discussed her relationship with Drew, saying, “You can’t pin your happiness on anybody else. Yes, Drew is great and I’m having a lovely time, but ultimately, it’s about moving forward and being in my own self.”
Earlier this year, she reflected on the strong role her sons Charley and Beau played in helping her through the difficult period following her split from Jamie. Speaking on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, Louise said, “If I didn’t have my kids, I think I would have just given up. My kids were my everything, and they needed me.”
In addition to her music career and family life, Louise has become a familiar face on television, notably serving as a judge on the UK version of So You Think You Can Dance aired on the BBC. She also reached the final of Strictly Come Dancing in 2016, partnered with Kevin Clifton, finishing as runners-up to Ore Oduba and Joanne Clifton.
