Rock legend Liam Gallagher has expressed his gratitude for the warm reception he’s received since moving to the Cotswolds. After settling into a village near Cirencester, the former Oasis frontman took to X to share how his new neighbours have been incredibly welcoming.
“They’re absolutely incredible. They have not stopped baking me cakes and scones,” Liam revealed, six months after purchasing his Coates property from former England captain and Arsenal legend Tony Adams.
Local residents have eagerly anticipated his arrival. Jan Edmonds, who has lived in the village for over a decade and organizes the monthly Coffee, Cake and Chat gatherings at the village hall, commented earlier this year: “There is a certain air of excitement and anticipation. He’s a celebrity everyone across generations is familiar with. It’s a friendly village, so we’ll make him feel welcome. I’m sure he’ll have a wonderful time here, even if it’s just his country residence.”

In addition to the warmth from villagers, Liam now has a local pub to enjoy. The newly reopened Tunnel House, just a short walk away, resumed its service this year after a six-year closure.
The Cirencester area has long attracted notable personalities, including Nick Knowles, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, and Ellie Goulding, who have all owned properties nearby. Fans of This Country might also spot stars Daisy-May Cooper and her brother Charlie frequenting the town.
