Great Britain enjoyed a remarkable success at the 2026 World Equestrian Championships in Aachen, with Laura Collett and Ros Canter achieving individual medals and the team clinching gold in eventing. Ros Canter rode Lordships Graffalo to a silver medal, finishing with 23.4 penalty points, narrowly behind Germany’s Michael Jung and FischerChipmunk, who won gold with 23.0 penalty points. Laura Collett, based at Penhill Farm on the Salperton Estate near Cheltenham in the Cotswolds, secured the bronze medal riding London 52, finishing on 28 penalty points.
Tom McEwen, rooted at Gatcombe Park in the Gloucestershire countryside, contributed significantly to the team effort, completing the event in seventh place on JL Dublin with 32.6 penalty points. Together, these riders propelled Great Britain to take team gold, with Germany and the United States claiming silver and bronze respectively.
This victory builds on the success of the 2024 Paris Olympics, where the same British trio also claimed team gold in eventing. Across the championships, Great Britain has enjoyed a strong medal haul, with Charlotte Fry retaining both of her individual dressage titles and the dressage team earning silver, bringing the nation’s total to six medals so far.
