Great Britain delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 World Equestrian Championships in Aachen, securing the team gold medal in the eventing competition. Key contributions came from Laura Collett and Ros Canter, who clinched the individual bronze and silver medals respectively, alongside Tom McEwen, who finished seventh individually.
Ros Canter, riding Lordships Graffalo, earned the silver medal with a score of 23.4 penalty points, narrowly behind Germany’s Michael Jung and FischerChipmunk, who won gold with 23.0 penalties. Laura Collett, competing on London 52 and based at Penhill Farm on the Salperton Estate near Cheltenham in the Cotswolds, completed the individual podium in third place with 28 penalty points.
Tom McEwen, a resident of Gatcombe Park in the Gloucestershire countryside, rode JL Dublin to a seventh-place finish on 32.6 penalties. Their combined efforts ensured Great Britain triumphed in the team event, with Germany taking silver and the United States claiming bronze.

This victory continues Britain’s impressive record in Aachen, following the same three British pairs securing team gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Additionally, Charlotte Fry has successfully defended both of her individual dressage titles, while the British dressage team earned a silver medal, bringing the nation’s total to six medals at these championships thus far.
