Announcing the passing of loved ones through local news has long been a meaningful tradition, and we are honoured to share these significant tributes.
Each death notice published in our newspaper and on our website is also featured on funeral-notices.co.uk – the UK’s leading platform for funeral announcements and memorials. These notices remain online indefinitely, providing families and friends with a lasting tribute, a safe place to share memories, add photographs, tributes, and even make donations in honour of their loved ones.
Every week, we pay tribute to those who have left us, celebrating their lives with funeral notices and dedicated online pages. To view the latest announcements or to create a notice, please contact our team via phone or visit the relevant website.

Among the heartfelt tributes this week:
Linda Airey peacefully passed on 25th October after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, her funeral and celebration of life will be held at Cheltenham Crematorium’s Willow Chapel on 24th November. Attendees are invited to wear attire meaningful to Linda. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Richard, remembered for his grace and strength during his fight with cancer, passed surrounded by family. His service will take place at Gloucester Crematorium on 25th November.
Jane Dix’s family bid farewell at Holy Trinity Church, Longlevens, followed by burial at Coney Hill Cemetery and a celebration of her life, sharing memories in a warm gathering.
Other tributes include Bill, Peter, Vicky, Mike, John, Romy, and many more — cherished family members whose lives touched us deeply. Their services are scheduled across various locations, with requests for donations in lieu of flowers to support causes close to their hearts, such as cancer research, hospices, and charities like Pancreatic Cancer UK, Sue Ryder, and the British Heart Foundation.
Each life remembered is a testament to love, family, and community. We extend our deepest sympathies to all the families and friends mourning these losses and celebrate the legacy each individual leaves behind.
