Former Derby County and St Mirren attacking midfielder Kyle McAllister has committed his future to Forest Green Rovers by signing a new contract with the club.
McAllister, 24, has made a significant impact this season, registering seven direct goal involvements in 19 games, including a notable brace in the recent 2-2 draw with Grimsby Town.
Having joined Rovers in the summer of 2022 and making 33 League One appearances last season, McAllister’s importance to the side has continued to grow, evident from his consistent inclusion in the starting lineup, missing out on just one league game this term.

Expressing his satisfaction with the new contract, McAllister stated, “I’m really glad to sign a new contract. Since the new gaffer has been in, I’ve wanted to get a new deal sorted. The gaffer has helped me a lot this year, he’s shown real belief in me and I love the football we’re trying to play.”
Head coach David Horseman praised McAllister, saying, “I believe Kyle has been one of the best players in League Two this year - he’s improved a lot, taken on board lots of information. He’s a top professional and a great lad to have around. It’s brilliant for him, brilliant for the club - and it shows the lads have real belief in what we’re trying to do here."
Allan Steele, director of football, expressed excitement for Kyle’s future at the club, noting his significant impact on and off the pitch and his potential to contribute to the club’s future.
