KFC to Keep 90 UK Branches Open for Dine-In and Drive-Thru on Christmas Day

KFC has announced that 90 of its UK outlets will remain open on Christmas Day, offering dine-in and drive-thru options for customers wanting a break from traditional holiday meals. While most of the chain’s over 1,000 branches will be closed, these selected locations aim to cater to people on the go or those craving KFC’s signature fried chicken on the festive day.

Earlier this month, KFC launched a special seasonal menu featuring two new Stuffing Burger varieties—the Stuffing Tower and Stuffing Stacker. Both include original recipe fried chicken fillets, sage and onion stuffing, melted cheese, and a zesty cranberry sauce, designed to bring holiday flavors to a classic favorite.

“KFC staff will be working hard to keep the chicken coming while Santa takes a rest,” the company said. “To avoid any disappointment, customers should check the seasonal opening times using our Find a KFC page.”

It’s important to note that these branches will not be offering delivery services on Christmas Day as the fryers will be switched off. Delivery platforms such as Uber Eats and Just Eat will operate as usual on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day but not on the holiday itself.

Additionally, many KFC locations will operate on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day, though opening hours may vary, so customers are encouraged to verify times with their local branches in advance.
