Kensington Palace has issued a heartfelt statement revealing that the Prince of Wales was deeply moved by the resilience of Gazan children who were evacuated to the United Kingdom for specialist medical care. As of November 21, the Department of Health and Social Care confirmed that fifty children, alongside their immediate families, have been brought to Britain from Gaza to receive vital treatment.
The statement emphasized that Prince William wished to “offer a moment of comfort to these young people who have endured experiences no child should ever face.” This compassionate gesture reflects his ongoing commitment to humanitarian causes and support for vulnerable communities affected by conflict.
In addition to meeting the children, the Prince expressed profound gratitude to the NHS teams providing exceptional care during this challenging time. Kensington Palace noted that William was inspired by both the courage demonstrated by the children and their families and the professionalism and humanity of the medical staff supporting them.

Prince William’s connection with Palestinian communities extends back several years. In 2018, he visited a Palestinian refugee camp in the West Bank, where he met local children and witnessed the daily challenges faced by families living in the Jalazone camp. This visit allowed him to gain firsthand insights into their struggles and reinforced his dedication to humanitarian efforts in the region.
Last month, during an event at Gunnersbury Park in west London, William paid tribute to humanitarian workers worldwide. At the launch of the first global memorial for humanitarian workers, he highlighted the crucial role aid workers play in amid the suffering caused by conflicts in places such as Ukraine, Sudan, Myanmar, Haiti, and throughout the Middle East, including Gaza.
Reflecting the UK Government’s ongoing commitment, a spokesperson confirmed that medical evacuations from Gaza were carried out in collaboration with partners throughout the autumn. They stressed the importance of scaling up aid following the ceasefire to ensure essential medicines and supplies reach Gaza, providing much-needed healthcare access for families in the region. The UK stands ready to continue delivering health-related support to the people of Gaza as the situation evolves.
