Kate Middleton’s Together at Christmas Service to Celebrate Love and Unity

Catherine, Princess of Wales, is set to host her fifth annual Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey on December 5, celebrating “love in all its forms.” This highly anticipated event will feature an inspiring mix of traditional and contemporary elements, with performances and readings by notable celebrities including Kate Winslet, Hannah Waddingham, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Bastille’s lead singer Dan Smith.

Kensington Palace’s statement emphasized that the service aims to embrace people of all faiths and backgrounds, highlighting connections across families, friendships, communities, and even strangers. The renowned Westminster Abbey choir will perform beloved carols alongside musical and spoken word contributions from invited guests.

More than 1,600 attendees will join the service, each recognized for their commitment to fostering compassion and unity in their communities through volunteering, launching initiatives, or acts of kindness. The event is backed by The Royal Foundation and underscores the transformative power of togetherness during what can often be a fragmented time of year.

Royal family members will be present, along with well-known figures who have made significant impacts through love and community service. Prior to the main service, young musicians from Future Talent will perform, honoring Katharine, Duchess of Kent, co-founder of the charity supporting gifted children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Royal Horticultural Society will display wreaths created with ambassadors and schoolchildren inside Westminster Abbey, while horticulturist Jamie Butterworth will craft a special seasonal arrangement outside the venue, symbolizing nature’s vital role in the celebration.

In addition to the Westminster Abbey event, 15 community carol services will be held across the UK, and the principal service will be recorded for broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX, extending its message of love, connection, and hope to audiences nationwide.
