Kaleb Cooper ‘Furious’ Over Jeremy Clarkson’s Controversial Farm Addition

As season five of Clarkson’s Farm approaches, Jeremy Clarkson continues to share updates on life at Diddly Squat. After a recent health scare that required emergency heart surgery, Clarkson has been taking medical advice seriously and seeking ways to streamline farm operations. However, not all of his farming decisions have been well received—especially by his longtime collaborator, Kaleb Cooper.

Before the new series launched, Clarkson announced he’d introduced ‘EasyCare’ sheep to the farm. “In the first series, I was with the sheep constantly during lambing, terrified there’d be a breech birth or something awful,” he explained. “EasyCare sheep just get on with it. Kaleb was absolutely furious when I bought them and spent weeks saying I’d got it all wrong. They’re hard to round up and incredibly strong.”

Interestingly, Kaleb’s opinion seems to have softened. Clarkson revealed, “But then I noticed the other day that he’s quietly bought thirty for himself.” This shift signals a potential change in farming approach and priorities between the two men.

Their differences extend beyond livestock. At The LAMMA Show, a major agricultural machinery event, Clarkson was fascinated by some of the latest tech, while Kaleb was more cautious. “There was the autonomous driverless tractor, which Kaleb really didn’t like. He said it was going to put him out of a job, which made me smile.” Kaleb admitted, “I was like a kid in a sweetshop, while Jeremy was more like, ‘What is that?’ After six years, you’d think he’d know what everything was, but actually he didn’t understand.”

Despite the occasional friction, Kaleb acknowledges their evolving partnership. “Jeremy and I have got a whole new dynamic now in terms of working together. He’s got a much bigger understanding of the whole job, so he’s getting there.”

Season five promises to be an emotional rollercoaster, with Clarkson facing the aftermath of his heart surgery, a farmers’ protest against Inheritance Tax, challenges with new technology, and upheaval at The Farmer’s Dog pub. Prime Video teases: “In the climactic episodes things turn dark, as bad luck strikes from every direction, causing massive upset.”

Clarkson’s Farm season 5 will premiere on Prime Video on June 3.
