Kaleb Cooper, a familiar face on Clarkson’s Farm, has openly shared his candid thoughts about Jeremy Clarkson’s competence on the farm. Over the past five years, the two have worked closely together on the show, capturing Jeremy’s journey as he learns the ropes of running Diddly Squat Farm.
Their relationship has often featured light-hearted banter and occasional clashes, reflecting the everyday challenges of farming life and livestock management. Recently, during an interview on Heart Radio with Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston, Kaleb was asked to rate Jeremy’s farming performance out of ten.
Initially, Kaleb gave Jeremy a score of six. “When he first started, he was like a 0.4, but he’s improved,” Kaleb acknowledged. He praised Clarkson’s skills with the pigs but noted his ongoing struggles with tasks like operating a tractor and cultivator. “He’s getting there slowly, but I wouldn’t want him as an employee,” Kaleb concluded bluntly when asked if he’d hire Clarkson.

However, Kaleb later re-evaluated his rating after going on tour and leaving Jeremy to manage the farm on his own. “I thought he’d be okay alone, but turns out he wasn’t,” he admitted, lowering his score to a three. This admission highlighted the crucial role Harriet Cowan played when she stepped in during Kaleb’s absence, helping to keep the farm running smoothly.
Kaleb also dispelled rumors about leaving the show due to other commitments, firmly stating, “No, I never left.”
The current series of Clarkson’s Farm centers on Jeremy coping with farm duties solo, following Kaleb and Lisa Hogan’s departures from everyday farm life. Jeremy expressed feeling somewhat abandoned, saying he was “a little bit left in the lurch” as he faced the challenges alone.
The first four episodes of the new season premiered on Prime Video today, with episodes five and six releasing on May 30, and the final two episodes available from June 6.
