Joe Day, the seasoned goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach, has signed a new two-year contract with Cheltenham Town, solidifying his commitment to the club. Since joining the Robins last summer, Day has made an impressive 44 appearances across all competitions, impressing both fans and management alike.
Reflecting on his first season, Day stated, “I had a really enjoyable time here last year and I’m very keen to build on that. I’m looking forward to improving myself and helping those around me develop too.”
With goalkeepers Owen Evans and Max Harris having departed—signing permanently with Barnet and Weston-super-Mare, respectively—young Mamadou Diallo remains the sole other goalkeeper in manager Michael Flynn’s senior squad.
