Jesy Nelson’s Heartfelt Prime Video Documentary Reveals Her Life’s Most Challenging Moments

Jesy Nelson’s much-anticipated documentary, Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, is set to premiere on Prime Video on February 13th, offering fans an intimate and heartfelt look at her life since departing the iconic girl group in 2020.

The series chronicles Jesy’s journey beyond the spotlight, capturing her raw and unfiltered experiences, including her high-risk pregnancy with twin daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe. The documentary also sheds light on the heartbreaking recent diagnosis that her daughters have been given: spinal muscular atrophy, a rare genetic condition that can impact their mobility.

Jesy and her former partner Zion previously shared the devastating news about their daughters’ health, and this documentary provides viewers an unprecedented inside view of how Jesy has coped with this challenge alongside the highs and lows of her personal and professional life.

Described as a deeply raw and emotional production, the documentary has already moved those who attended a private screening of its opening episode. Jesy’s candid storytelling and behind-the-scenes footage offer a powerful testament to her strength, resilience, and vulnerability.

During a Q&A session following the screening, Jesy opened up about the timing of the release. She admitted that although she wasn’t ready before, she now feels mentally prepared to share her story publicly. Jesy explained, “I just wanted to take a step back from everything and find my purpose… Then my daughters came along and gave me every bit of purpose I was searching for. When the cameras came, it felt like the right time.”

Initially, Jesy intended the documentary as a way to create memories for her daughters, but this objective shifted dramatically after their diagnosis. “My reasons for making this began differently,” she said. “Now, it’s about spreading awareness and showing my girls, when they’re older, how incredible they are amid everything we’ve been through.”

In addition to the six-part series, a television special will air to continue Jesy’s journey and her efforts to raise awareness about spinal muscular atrophy.

Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix streams exclusively on Prime Video starting February 13.
