Jeremy Clarkson’s Neighbour Reflects on Life Near Clarkson’s Farm Amid Rising Visitor Numbers

Jeremy Clarkson’s successful farming series, Clarkson’s Farm, has transformed the Cotswolds into a hotspot for fans eager to visit its filming locations. Since the show’s debut in 2021, the region has experienced a notable increase in tourism, bringing both excitement and some headaches for locals.

Amanda Holden, a resident and neighbour to Clarkson, recently spoke about the impact of the show’s popularity as the fifth series prepares to air this June. Speaking on Heart Radio’s Breakfast Show, Holden, who also counts Simon Cowell among the famous locals in the area, expressed mixed feelings about the influx of visitors.

While Amanda is a fan of Clarkson’s Farm, she admitted the traffic and queues have made visiting the farm itself less appealing. “I went there very early on, but I haven’t been back since because of the long queues,” she said. Joking about her proximity, she added, “I could probably just walk across the field unless he thinks I’m trespassing!”

Jeremy Clarkson purchased the sprawling 1,000-acre estate near Chipping Norton in 2008, but only took on direct management after the previous tenant stepped down years later. The series highlights Clarkson’s genuine struggles and successes in farming, with his team — most notably Kaleb Cooper — by his side.

The upcoming season promises to reunite Clarkson with Kaleb, who was absent from the opening episodes of the last series. Prime Video teased new developments, stating: “Clarkson’s Farm is back, and amid a government budget that sends the UK farming community into uproar, Jeremy decides some big changes are needed to make the farm run more smoothly. But as the farm goes high-tech with Kaleb’s first ever trip abroad, even larger challenges await at Diddly Squat.”

Photos revealed from the new season show Clarkson, Kaleb, and long-time partner Lisa Hogan actively working on the farm. Meanwhile, Lisa is branching out as the presenter of ITV’s new dating show, Farming for Love — a fresh take on the Farmer Wants a Wife format. Discussing the show on This Morning, she emphasized the authenticity of farm life and its parallels to building relationships: “Farming requires resilience and patience, as do relationships. This show is honest — there’s no hiding on a farm — and that’s what makes it so real.”

As Clarkson’s Farm continues to captivate audiences and boost local tourism, neighbours like Amanda Holden navigate the balance between welcoming fans and preserving the community’s tranquility.
