The newest season of Clarkson’s Farm landed on Amazon Prime Video at the end of last month, giving fans a fresh look at Jeremy Clarkson’s latest farming and entrepreneurial escapades. Since the show’s debut in 2021, viewers have enjoyed watching the former Top Gear host navigate a variety of projects while running his Diddly Squat farm.
From launching a farm-to-table restaurant and managing long lines at the farm shop to expanding the car park and clashing with West Oxfordshire District Council, Clarkson has continuously kept himself busy. But in the fourth series, he’s diving into one of his most ambitious ventures yet — opening a pub.
Clarkson’s partner, Lisa Hogan, shared her perspective on the new undertaking, recalling how she initially laughed at the idea. “He would come in, tearing his hair out,” she said, “and I would just think, ‘Oh, I’ve been through all this before. It will be fine; this is your learning curve.'”

The couple scouted numerous pubs, each charming in its own right—except for the first one Clarkson wanted to buy, which had numerous issues. Lisa explained, “Jeremy was enthusiastic about many places, but the one we settled on is visually perfect.”
However, this picturesque pub came with its own challenges: “It’s not connected to the main sewage, doesn’t have electricity, and lacks sufficient water,” Lisa revealed. She also noted the pub had a “slightly shady past” due to questionable activities in the car park, but praised its stunning location.
Opening and running the pub proved to be far tougher than Clarkson had expected. “Honestly, it was much, much harder,” he admitted. “There are so many things you discover about running a pub that you wouldn’t even consider.”
At 65, Clarkson found the experience more stressful than managing the farm. “I like hard work,” he said. “If I don’t accomplish something constructive in a day, I can’t really get to sleep. But this was silly, and it did actually mess with my heart.”
Clarkson’s Farm, including this new pub-opening saga, is now available to stream on Prime Video.
