Lisa Hogan, partner of Jeremy Clarkson and co-star on Amazon Prime Video’s hit series Clarkson’s Farm, recently delighted fans with a charming update about one of the show’s most beloved characters – Richard Ham, the micro-pig.
On Instagram, via The Diddly Squat Farm’s official account, Lisa posted a video revealing how much Richard Ham has grown since his introduction on the latest series. Named humorously after Clarkson’s former Top Gear colleague Richard Hammond, the little piglet has now more than doubled in size, much to the surprise of fans and farm followers alike.
“Look who it is! It’s Richard ‘porker’ Ham,” Lisa exclaimed in the caption, while her voiceover expressed amazement at how “huge” the pig had become. She attributed Richard Ham’s impressive growth to the months of hand-feeding he had received, making him a firm favorite on the farm.

Fans flooded the comments with affection for Richard Ham, eager that the pig avoid a fate on the dinner table. Many urged Clarkson and Lisa to keep him as a permanent pet or to let him live out his days at a petting farm. One fan wrote, “Yayy! I’m so glad Richard Ham is still with you, keep him forever!” Another added, “Please keep him or let him go to a petting farm, where he can live a happy life.”
Clarkson himself addressed Richard Ham’s future on the farm during a recent episode, explaining his dilemma. “If he goes on the lorry, he’s killed and all we get in return is chipolata and a pork chop the size of a walnut. If he stays here, we’ve got to feed him for no reason. And that’s not farming,” he said.
However, Clarkson revealed a practical reason for retaining Richard Ham: the next group of female pigs on the farm will need a “man pig” nearby to trigger their heat cycles. Artificial insemination is planned, but it requires the presence of a boar to be effective. “So why don’t we keep him as the farm’s man pig, to get the ladies in the mood? Good old Richard Ham – you could be Hugh Hefner now!” Clarkson joked.
Fans can continue to follow Richard Ham’s journey alongside Clarkson’s farming adventures on Amazon Prime Video’s Clarkson’s Farm.
