Jeremy Clarkson, renowned former host of the hit motoring shows “Top Gear” and “The Grand Tour,” is set to auction off three notable cars featured in “The Grand Tour.” The sale is scheduled to take place during “The Iconic Sale” at the NEC Classic Motor Show on 14 November.
An auction house, Iconic Auctioneers, announced the news and indicated that the motivation behind the sale will be revealed in the forthcoming series of Clarkson’s Farm.
Clarkson commented on the decision, stating, “I rarely get a chance these days to drive or enjoy these very special and quite famous cars, so it’s probably for the best if they end up with someone who can.”

The first vehicle, a 1982 Lancia Montecarlo Spider, was the last car driven by Clarkson on “The Grand Tour.” Sporting a Lotus Blue exterior, it appeared in the “One for the Road” episode, which marked Clarkson, alongside co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May, concluding their time together on the show. This car was uniquely modified for filming with rear lights from a Ferrari 308, quad tailpipes, Lancia Delta Integrale wheels and a racing steering wheel. Clarkson purchased the car post-filming, and it is reported to start, run, and drive well.
The second vehicle is a 1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6, which featured in the “Well Aged Scotch” episode - the first Grand Tour episode broadcast in 2019. Clarkson drove this car around Scotland’s renowned North Coast 500 route. Having covered 28,315 miles, it has been maintained meticulously in-house.
Lastly, the collection includes a 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V, as seen in the “Lochdown” episode. This powerful car houses a sizeable 6.6-litre engine and was equipped with nitrous injection for the filming, a modification still intact. Additionally, it features a set of bagpipes in the boot and a Cartier clock, adding unique character.
This trio of vehicles embodies memorable moments from Clarkson’s popular motoring series and will soon be offered to enthusiasts and collectors at the NEC Classic Motor Show auction.
