Jeremy Clarkson Playfully Critiques Contestant’s Wardrobe on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

Jeremy Clarkson returned to ITV with another lively episode of the popular quiz show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? This time, the iconic presenter welcomed contestant Daniel Keeble, a chemistry graduate from Ipswich, competing for the coveted jackpot.

After securing £1,000 in the early rounds, Daniel’s progress was briefly interrupted as Clarkson couldn’t resist poking fun at his outfit. With his signature wit, the 65-year-old quipped, “I must say, I do admire the way you’ve made no effort at all with your wardrobe."

The studio erupted in laughter as Daniel responded cheerfully, “Ah, thank you!” Not missing a beat, Clarkson continued: “I do approve of it, ‘I’m going on television, I think a shirt or t-shirt and some jeans.’”

When Daniel questioned, “Why not?” Clarkson admitted he’d do the same given the chance. The banter warmed up further when Daniel suggested Clarkson try the relaxed look himself, which the presenter found agreeable. However, before moving on, Clarkson threw out another playful jab: “So if you win a lot of money, are you going to buy some clothes?”

Daniel’s quick comeback had the audience in stitches: “I’ll get mother to buy me some clothes.” He added with a smile, “My shopping is not known for its fashion sense.” Clarkson laughed and signalled to continue the game.

Daniel skillfully used his lifelines—50:50, Ask the Host, and Phone a Friend—as the questions became increasingly tough. The climax came at the £64,000 question: “The Pantanal, which is the world’s largest wetland, is over 42 million acres, extends across Bolivia, Paraguay and which other country?”

Presented with the choices of Chile, Brazil, Argentina, or Uruguay, Daniel hesitated. Ultimately, he decided not to risk it, opting to walk away with £32,000. “It’s been a great experience. I’d like to take the money, and that’s my final answer,” he declared.

Clarkson revealed that had Daniel guessed Brazil, he’d have doubled his winnings to £64,000. Despite a fleeting moment of disappointment, Daniel expressed contentment with his prize.
